Bottle Shock

Bottle Shock is a YouTube channel, a bar and a blind-tasting league from South Australia, watched worldwide. This server is where the audience and the crew talk wine. Brendan Carter is in here. He makes the wine at Unico Zelo in the Adelaide Hills, he's a Master of Wine student, and in 2026 he won Best Wine Communicator in Long-Form Video at the 67 Pall Mall Global Wine Communicator Awards in London. So is Simon Dacey, Bottle Shock's head sommelier. What we talk about: • What you're drinking tonight, and whether it was any good • Bottles worth buying, from cheap drops to the good stuff • Australian wine: vintages, regions, Fiano and the alternative varieties • Winemaking and the vineyard, from the people doing it • Blind tasting and the Big Blind League's cups • Meetups when we're on the road Full transparency, zero pretence. You don't need to know a thing about wine to join, so ask the question you think is too basic. Pop a cork, crack a screwie.
